Germany is doubling down on its refusal to cooperate with Russia, and will thus be freezing its citizens to death this winter – at least the ones who are unable to find one of the country’s new “warm up spaces.”
Europe’s largest economy is going full-on third world this year with plans to turn sports arenas and exhibition halls into heat shelters for citizens who are unable to pay for what limited gas ends up being available this winter due to inflation and shortages.
Germany’s Cities and Municipalities Association (CMA) is urging local authorities to start setting aside public spaces where people can go to keep their body temperatures above death levels as Germany refuses to pay for Russian gas and oil in rubles as demanded by the country due to sanctions.
A large amount of Russian gas has already been cut off from Germany, and soon the rest of it will go, too. This means once winter arrives, it is death for many Germans.
“We are currently preparing for all emergency scenarios for autumn and winter,” said Jutta Steinruck, the city mayor of Ludwigshafen where the Friedrich-Ebert-Halle arena is slated to be converted into a warm up hall.
“Nobody can say exactly how dramatic the developments will be,” added Gerd Landsberg, the head of the CMA, adding that local municipalities throughout Germany need to start creating “heat islands” and “warm rooms” for Germans to pack into, “even during a very cold winter.”
All Germany has to do to keep the lights on is agree to pay Russia for energy as requested. Instead, the nation’s leaders are choosing to turn Germany into a third world country.
Reports indicate that numerous cities and towns are already announcing plans to shut off all lights outside public buildings and deactivate traffic signals at night in order to conserve.
Germany’s largest residential landlord, which owns roughly 490,000 properties, is also planning to impose energy rationing measures that cut heat to tenants at night, leaving them with just their blankets and their prayers to keep them warm.
The German people are also being told to take fewer showers and wear more layers of clothing, as well as to wash their clothes less and walk or bike instead of drive places in the dead of winter.
The latest polls show that Germans are starting to get really upset at their decreased standard of living due to the political fight against Russia. Many of them are now panic buying stoves and fire wood in an attempt to get ahead of the mad rush for resources that is soon to come.
Had Germany never gone “green” in the first place, it would have its own natural resources available. That would have been the most preferable option, especially if Germany does not want to have to rely on Russia for fuel.
“It is Germany’s responsibility to undertake the actions required to ensure the security and survivability of its own citizens,” wrote a commenter at Summit.news about the issue.
“They have failed, and their slide into third world status continues. And we are soon to follow if we do not purge the mentally deficient leftards from our government.”
Another likened German leadership’s comments about showers to World War II, in which people were told to “enter the ‘showers’ before going to the warm up spaces.”
“How kind the German government is helping its citizens not to freeze to death this winter especially when it’s the same government that has created this crisis,” wrote another. “Why do Germans have such a propensity for allowing their government to lead them around by their noses over and over again?”
